ODEN WASTEWATER TREATMENT II

Using the Scramento Wastewater Treatment Volume II manual – this four day class discusses Activated Sludge Operations, Pumps and Lab Analysis.

Ongoing Water Distribution O & M Class

This is an ongoing class that meets once a week and is usually scheduled for 9 or 10 weeks. The class is based on the Sacramento Manual – Water Distribution O & M and a manual is included with the cost of the class. If you already have the current manual than the class is pro-rated.  Math is also part of the course with problems geared toward the operators taking the class.

Water Operators can receive 2.4 Technical CECs for the completion of this course

Water Filtration Exam Review

This class is based on the State’s Filtration Exam Study Guide (available on their website). The first day is a PowerPoint presentation that expands on the topics listed in the Study Guide. The second day is all math. Different levels of Math Problems are distributed depending on the level of exam each operator is planning to take.

Water Operators can receive 1.2 Technical CECs for completion of the course.

BEGINNING WASTEWATER MATH CLASS

This 1.5 day class covers the basic formulas used in the plant and lab such as: SDI, SVI, SS/VSS, Area, Volume, Q=V*A, F:M, Pounds Loading, BOD etc.
(1 CEC – technical) See Registration Form for dates and location

BASIC WATER & WASTEWATER MATH

The one day basic math class is for entry level water and wastewater operators or for those who need to learn the basics of math. Topics include: exponents, area, volume, circumference, pounds loading etc. This class has been approved for 0.6 CECs for Water and Wastewater Operators by the STATE.

ADVANCED WASTEWATER MATH CLASS

This 1.5 day class covers the formulas from the beginning class and those used in the plant and lab such as: Hydraulic and Organic Loading on a Trickling Filter, Hydraulic and Organic Loading on an RBC, Fecal Coliform, Geometric Mean, Flow over a V-notch weir, etc.
(1 CEC – technical) See Registration Form for dates and location

WASTE WATER PROCESS LAB AND MATH

A two day class for those needing  wastewater process information.
The first day is a PowerPoint Presentation –  types of treatment,  basic lab  etc. The second day is all Math – problems will be distributed in two categories – Beginning WW math & Advanced WW math.
